Slightly Stoopid is an Ocean Beach, San Diego-based band formed in 1994 and discovered by Bradly Nowell (RIP), frontman and voice of iconic reggae, ska punk band Sublime. My work is inspired a lot by Brad and the music of both bands as well.

This year (2018), I was super lucky to create a band merch T-shirt artwork for one of my favorite bands. If one knows the Stoopids, I’m sure that one will recognize the apple pipe themed illustration. The tee will be soon available for purchase in two color versions on Stoopid’s official merch store.

Band merch for the reggae band Stick Figure

Stick Figure is a Northern California-based reggae and dub band founded in 2006 by frontman Scott Woodruff. As a live band they toured with major acts like Slightly Stoopid, Tribal Seeds, Rebelution, The Expendables and Passafire. While playing shows they are often joined onstage by Cocoa the Tour dog.

In August 2018, I was commissioned to redesign one of my free works as a band merch T-shirt for this amazing and charismatic group. The title of the design is “Beach Bouquet”. The bouquet consists of palms instead of flowers while the roots form the band’s name. The tee is available for purchase on their official merch store.

Paint It, Blue

The Paint It, Blue illustration is inspired by the famous Rolling Stones song “Paint It, Black”. The idea came to me with selective perception on my mind. In this case, a surfer notices wave structures everywhere in his surroundings.
